Restoring Critical Communications After Hurricane Dorian

Discover our rapid-deployment disaster recovery efforts, including the reconfiguration, integration, and commissioning of off-grid modular telecommunications and hybrid power systems to restore essential connectivity.

Rapid Deployment for Disaster Recovery

Following Hurricane Dorian, telecommunications infrastructure across Grand Bahama and Abaco was severely damaged, disrupting communications for remote communities and critical networks. To accelerate recovery, modular hybrid telecommunications systems were deployed to rapidly restore essential connectivity.

Project Highlights

The client procured immediately available modular systems to support the emergency response, engaging nuValence to reconfigure, deploy, and commission the solutions to meet the operational demands of the restoration effort.

Our team upgraded cooling systems, integrated additional solar capacity, optimized battery storage and generator performance, and completed final site installation and commissioning to deliver reliable, off-grid telecommunications infrastructure.

Project Outcomes

The completed systems restored critical communications while minimizing fuel reliance through an optimized hybrid power design. Beyond reconnecting local communities, the deployment helped restore key telecommunications pathways supporting regional connectivity throughout the Caribbean.
